This is a bit of a geeky post but I was so excited to go to the ASOS head office and see behind the scenes I just had to share it with you guys.

I have been loving opening my Ciaté advent calendar every day this month and I'm hoping to do a post on my favourite picks from the lot when I finish it. For this nail look I used two of the colours I found inside, Dangerous Affair and Ladylike Luxe. 

Burberry 'Khaki' is a very dirty green that's not bright at all, it's actually verging on brown. After using this all over the lid, I added a tiny bit of 'Club' to the crease and underneath the eye. This is one of my all-time favourite MAC eyeshadows, its green but when you blend it out it turns a really nice, warm brown. I love layering Club on all over the lid for a night out. 

This was the day I nearly killed my mother. She tried, she did... but these were literally the only photos I could salvage from the day. Any photographers out there want to move in with me?

So, here's the good bit. Once you've cleansed, exfoliated, used a mask... whatever you do, you can then lock it all in and prepare your skin for the night. The three main contenders that I have on the go at the moment are the NUDE cellular renewal serum, Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair and NUDE's Treatment Oil.

I've been a fan of Cult Beauty for quite a while now so when I was invited to meet the founders and talk through some of their cult products I jumped at the chance. 

With birthday and Christmas season comes 'buy myself presents season'.... don't ask, it's a bad habit.

The first time my mum made this cake was 30 years ago for my older sister's 1st birthday. She used a Mary Berry recipe from a recipe book she bought in 1978! The recipe has never changed but the smarties were my mum's idea... not Mary's. It's really not a fancy cake, but it's something that's become a tradition every year for my birthday and I love it. 

Not only have I got a ridiculous skincare cupboard but I also have very easy, non-problematic skin. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet Michelle Doherty, the founder of the brand.

So, I have a skincare routine, I have a makeup routine, I have a haircare routine and now I even have a hand care routine! Is it sad that I'm really excited by this? 

I really wanted to talk to you guys about my winter skincare routine as well as some of the products I'm currently trying out, but when I attempted to do so it got so long winded I soon realised it would need to be broken up. So this is part one of a FOUR part blog post! Don't worry, I'll spread them out, but there are some amazing products that I want to talk to you about. 

Anna and I were overwhelmed with the lovely comments on our Christmas Gift Guide videos so a big, big thank you to all of you. We've really become very close friends over the past few months so we really wanted to film together and just crossed our fingers you'd all like it.

When it comes to getting in a makeup rut I'm definitely guilty. I tend to find products I love and stick to them, which is great, but I also love trying new things. So occasionally on days when I know I'll be at home all day I dive into my beauty drawers and pick out products I either haven't used for ages or haven't yet properly given a chance.

I have been loving this sweater recently and I'm sure you've all seen it popping up all over my Instagram. It's so soft and easy to wear and I love the electric blue that's only on the top part of it. I got it when there was 30% off GAP, so it was a real bargain! 

I was extremely unprepared for this video... how is it December already?! I threw my hair up, put on a Christmas jumper, gathered my favourites products and got to work. Despite the greasy hair and un-painted nails, I'm happy I filmed it in time!

This post isn't rocket science but it's something new to me that I discovered this week and thought was pretty cool! 

Last week I went to see what Nails Inc has in store for their future launches, but I had no idea how many new nail polish ideas I'd see. Normally brands launch with one big new idea, but we discovered about five at this one event. 

This year, like the past two years, my family have decided to do secret Santa. We got to the point a few years ago where were were buying so many gifts for so many people that we started a maximum £5 rule. The problem there is that we then received not very nice presents. So now we do secret Santa, so we all get one present (maximum £30), but one present that we really want and will love.
