B.Y.O Cheese Party
It's great to have people over for parties, but it can get expensive and I know from experience how the supermarket bill can really add up when you buy enough food and drink for all the guests. Last week my sister and her husband hosted a BYO Cheese Party and I thought it was a brilliant idea.
Zip n Go: Model's Essentials
My bestest friend Keisha Lall made a fleeting visit to London before heading back to New York where she's currently living and working as a model. Whilst she was here we chatted about everything we possibly could in the short time we had and one of the topics happened to be the stuff she carries around with her, her 'model essentials', for when she's at castings or travelling around.
The 30 Year Old Birthday Smartie Cake
The first time my mum made this cake was 30 years ago for my older sister's 1st birthday. She used a Mary Berry recipe from a recipe book she bought in 1978! The recipe has never changed but the smarties were my mum's idea... not Mary's. It's really not a fancy cake, but it's something that's become a tradition every year for my birthday and I love it.
Homemade Tortilla Chips
This post isn't rocket science but it's something new to me that I discovered this week and thought was pretty cool!
Flourless Brownie Bites
Yesterday afternoon was spent baking with my sister in preparation for a little birthday gathering we're having for Rich tonight. I was planning on writing this post but my sister's passion for talking about food puts me to shame so I let her take over... I feel this might be a fortnightly thing on WIHT.
Je t'aime Paris
So many of you asked me to share my photos from Paris so here you go. I had a really lovely weekend away with Rich. The train was super easy and it was a relief to not have to go on a plane.
Bluebelles of Portobello, London
Today's post is going to be a quick one. I'm currently sitting in my onesie trying to write this post before I go to bed and wake up early to go to Paris - eek! If you want to keep updated with my mini trip (where I'll be as you are reading this) follow me on Twitter and Instagram (@lilypebbles).
Guest Post: Raspberry Meringue Pie
For today's post I managed to convince my oldest sister Carly to take over. She is an amazing cook and has always loved cooking. Her and her husband make the most amazing food! I've tried to convince her to start a food blog, so I'm excited to hear what you guys think of this and I'll be showing her your comments! I hope you enjoy learning how to make her Raspberry Meringue Pie, I really want to try it now!
Photo Food Diary
For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to do a photo diary for my food post this week. After day 1 I quickly realised this was going to be embarrassing and the post should probably be called 'Welcome to Lily's greedy carb life'. Whilst writing this I'm seriously doubting whether I should put this up or not.
How To: Mummy's Chicken Soup
If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram then you'd know that this week has been a bit of a write-off for me because I spent the first 3 days really sick in bed. The photo above is evidence! It's that time of year when everyone gets a cold or if you're really lucky the flu. It seems impossible to avoid and I know so many people who have it at the moment!
In-n-Out in London
I was the Tuesday just gone and my boyfriend (despite being new to Twitter AND In-n-Out burgers) was the one to bring it to my attention. The power of Twitter meant news was quickly spreading about the pop-up In-n-Out burger that would be setting up shop for only 4 hours for one day only in London.
Duck & Waffle, London
This is not so much a review, actually none of my food posts are reviews as such, more 'I went here and this is what I thought'. The lovely people at Tresemmé treated a group of us to dinner at Duck & Waffle and it was definitely a night to remember.
Negozio Classica, Primrose Hill, London
Negozio Classica is a lovely little Italian restaurant/wine bar in Primrose Hill, North London. It's not your typical Italian though and offers more antipasti type dishes rather than the usual pizza and pasta. There is also a branch in Notting Hill.
Com Viet, Covent Garden London
Downstairs was much nicer with dimmed lighting, comfy booth tables, exposed brick walls and an open kitchen. The waitress was friendly and there were no dramas with ordering and paying etc.
Pic Pack
Do you remember when I posted about my Instagram iphone case from Casetagram? Well here's another Instagram product... Pic Pack!
