Inside my makeup bag
I thought I'd give you a peek into my daily makeup bag. These are my basic, essential products that I'm using at the moment. The blusher and eyeliner change regularly, but all of the others are staple products that I continue to buy again and again.
Yes to Cucumbers!!!
I first heard about the 'Yes To' range on Ingrid's YouTube channel and it seemed like a great brand. It's pretty hard to get in the UK, you can order it online at Feel Unique but apart from that, it's hard to get hold of. So when I was contacted and told that 'Yes To' will be coming to the UK at the end of the year I was very excited!
Drippy Halloween Nails
Thought I'd try some 'drippy' nails for Halloween. I used the Deborah Lipman 'Laras Theme' because although it's orange, it has a slight red tint to it. I'm actually quite enjoying these nails even though they're not my usual style.
Sparkle & Stuff
My new Topshop Ambush boots that I showed in my video. I love them. They couldn't be more of a rip-off of the Acne Pistol boots even if they tried! So comfortable, look amazing with everything... I'm obsessed.
Maybelline: Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara
I quite liked using the mascara and was impressed with the length it gave my lashes. The applicator literally feels like you're combing your lashes with a tiny, little comb. Personally, I prefer more thickening mascaras, but I would recommend this if you are looking for length!
JK: Urban Rose Collection
I recently went to have a closer look at Jemma Kidd's new A/W makeup collection. I am going to split this into two posts, so let's start with JK and I'll come back to the pro range another time.
FashionistA
My first encounter with FashionistA makeup was at the launch of The Saturdays' magnetic nail polish. I knew FashionistA were the brand that made the polish but I had no idea they also had a whole cosmetics range. At the event we were able to pick out our own palette. The palettes work a bit like MAC, but they are square and instead of being magnetic, they just slot into place. It actually makes it much easier. I picked out 3 eyeshadows and one blusher.
Vote for my Nails!
So, I mentioned before that I was taking part in a Nail Inc competition... and here it is! We were asked to create a nail design using any of the 21 nail polishes we were given (the matte top coat is missing in the photo above).
Rust Coat
This is my new favourite thing in my wardrobe - my rust boyfriend coat from Topshop. It came with a big faux fur collar, which is nice, but most the time I prefer it without. I love the shape, the colour, the length, the button holes... absolutely everything about it! it also matches perfectly with my new Chili lipstick from MAC. Feeling very 1940s.
Nails Inc
I went along to the Nails Inc salon on South Molton street to learn more about their new magnetic polish. It works the same as the other brands, but this one comes in the elegant Nails Inc bottle and the magnet is part of the lid - so you don't need to buy it separately. It is also great that for every magnetic polish bought at Nails Inc, they donate £1 to the Prince's Trust.
Giveaway: Design Your Junk Jewels
I've got a lovely giveaway for you, which I think you'll all love! The vintage inspired jewellery website 'Junk Jewels' now have a sister site called ‘Design your Junk Jewels' where you can create your own jewellery. You can pick everything from the necklace chain to the charms that go on it. It's really cute and also quite fun to do! There are some beautiful charms which have a gorgeous vintage feel to them.
My new baby
I've been wanting a larger wallet for a while, but haven't been able to save up. So when I received a lovely voucher I knew I wanted to use it towards something amazing which I'd keep for years. I headed straight to Miu Miu because I've always loved their wallets.
Nail Porn with Sophy Robson
After the blogger hunt in Westfield I thought I'd go for a wander around the Car Boutique before heading home. Whilst browsing, I was approached by Firetrap and asked if I wanted my nails done by Sophy Robinson.... yes, she said Robinson. Me being the nail obsessed person that I am, knew she meant Sophy Robson. So unlike all the other shoppers in Westfield who politely turn down her offer, I said "YES PLEASE!". For a while I thought really? Is Sophy Robson really gonna sit in Westfield and paint nails?
Found some stripes
When the temperature suddenly dropped, I went straight to H&M to buy myself a jumper! I actually went to find a striped one... and I did! It's not the softest knit I own, but I really like the black and cream stripes and I think it will come in handy for layering.
The Saturdays Magnetism Nail Laquer by Fashionista
I was really excited when I heard that The Saturdays would be launching a nail polish... and then to hear it would be a magnetic polish AND it would be affordable, amazing!
I desperately wanted to see for myself what a magnetic polish is really like and how The Saturdays would make it their own.
M&S: Accessories
A couple of weeks ago (I'm so behind on everything) I went along to the Marks and Spencer's accessories event which was held at the lovely Kettners. I was very intrigued to go as M&S has sort of become my place to go when I need knickers and socks... and not much else...
You found me!!!
So yesterday was the Blogger Hunt in Westfield London. I woke up early, finished writing my clues, got ready and headed to Shepherds Bush. I was quite nervous that people wouldn't come because it was such a gorgeous sunny day; anyone who would choose to spend it indoors is pretty crazy... or in this case, desperate for a £100 Westfield voucher!!
Hero & Cape
At the Look Show I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah, and with Sarah was her plus one, Nikki. Probably the two most creative people I have ever met.
Find me and win a £100 Westfield voucher!!!
So the title pretty much says it all! I'm involved in a really exciting project with Westfield London Shopping Centre (Shepherds Bush) and have been dying to tell you all about it! I really hope you can all support me and get involved, and if not, then help spread the word!
Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask
I've been wanting to try Moroccan Oil products for ages now, but they are quite pricey so I've been putting it off. My hair has been suffering lately from all the straightening and colouring, so I've been looking to get a hair mask.
