I don't want to speak too soon but I am LOVING the cooler winter weather. It's usually around the end of January that I resent it and start pining after the warmer months but for now, I'm embracing the chill. I love wrapping up in layers, throwing on a scarf and hat but just to balance out the unusual positivity going on here, I bloody hate the glove/touch screen phone issue (and no, I haven't yet found any touch screen gloves that I love as much as my cashmere ones).

I'm so excited to be kicking off this year's Christmas content with this exciting L'Occitane collaboration. Chanel has always smashed it out of the park when it comes to their Christmas collections, but there was one thing about the Collection Libre 'Numeros Rouges' this year that really stood out to me. Ever since Lucia Pica came on board as Global Creative Designer, the Chanel collections seem to have real purpose as well as just being gorgeous. This year I am totally in love with her red lip edit, a collection of four red lipsticks to chose from depending on your preference. Hi, I'm back! I've been gone a little while, 31 days to be specific and I'm sorry about that. I've been on a semi-digital detox and I say semi because it wasn't a true digital detox really. For the month of October I decided to stop making content and stop sharing online for the first time in almost 8 years. It's something I chose to do for many reasons really, but mainly what it came down to was my happiness and well-being and I'm sure some of you noticed I wasn't really myself in September.

It was almost two years ago now that I discovered the Bullet Journal, you might remember this blog post from when I first started experimenting with it. A year later and I made this video, explaining the system and how I made it work for me. So before you read this post, I'd definitely recommend watching my video as it really explains how I took the Bullet Journal system and adapted it for my specific needs.It's been almost two years now and I've learnt a lot about Bullet Journalling and how to best fit it into my life, so here's an update post as I often get asked if I'm still using it.

Wedding gifts... without a doubt the most frustrating gifts to buy. Birthdays, easy, baby showers, easy... weddings, not so much. It's probably due to the fact that you're buying a present for two people but also there seem to be so many rules and traditions, it's hard to know where you stand and what you're "supposed" to do.

If you watch my videos you would know that I recently planned one of my best friend's hen party and well, it sort of took over my life. I know I'm a control freak, it's definitely one of my downfalls but the main reason it stressed me out was because I wanted so badly for her to have the best weekend of her life.

Glossier found a niche a ran with it and after visiting the New York show room a few times I now know what all the fuss is about.

Oh, I do love a good beauty hype, it's so nostalgic to me, and the best hypes come in the form of an Urban Decay palette! I was in my first year of blogging when the original palette launched so it feels almost like a tradition to me to jump on the bandwagon.

Living in the UK, I am spoilt for choice when it comes to travelling. We may not be on the most exotic side of the planet but having Europe right our doorstep means we can easily pop to a different country to explore without having to break the bank and beat the jetlag.

I get asked all the time, where to stay in London and more recently where to stay in Brighton too. I usually have zero helpful suggestions because it’s rare for me to stay in a hotel in my home city and when I head down to the sea I usually crash in Anna’s spare room (thanks Anna!).

I'm sorry, I can't help it... I'm a jean addict. No matter how hard I try I always seem to gravitate towards the denim department and with so many new styles coming out all the time, it's hard to resist. I'm really enjoying trying out different shapes and wearing them more as a statement piece, rather than "oh I'll just throw on these jeans". 

As always I am very late to the party, but when it comes to skincare I quite like to take a step back and wait for the reviews to roll in before I give it a go myself (also Fleur totally forced me to try this). The Ordinary is the latest launch from Deciem, a skincare brand I already know and trust. I didn't really know what to expect when going to see Dr Stefanie Williams at the Eudelo clinic, I was invited in to have a complimentary appointment and I jumped at the opportunity! I've never had my skin looked at in this way before and I found it fascinating to learn more about it. Let me tell you a little bit about how the appointment went...

To go alongside today's video I wanted to post some of the photos we took last week. I've been trying to incorporate more colour into my wardrobe and I've really enjoyed styling up some new outfits to wear! Orange, red, pink and blue seem to be the colours I feel most comfortable wearing and so I've created three "shop" pages where I've collected some of my favourite pieces online in those colours.

I'm actually pretty impressed with myself as over the past couple of years I've massivley scaled back my nail polish collection. Once upon a time it filled an entire shoe organiser that hung on the back of my office door but now I have a respectable drawer filled with my top lacquer loves; saying that I am still always tempted by a new range.

I've always wanted to do safari and so when Rich and I were deciding on a honeymoon destination it seemed obvious to spend two weeks exploring South Africa, a country I've never been to but heard so much about. It's an 11 hour flight, but with only a two hour time difference it is SO easy to travel to. Having no jet lag makes ALL the difference. I'll try do a separate post on the route we took and where we stayed.

In my 29th year I find myself reflecting and looking back more than ever before. I'm not quite as focused on my future, instead I spend more time thinking back, appreciating past moments and working out how I can apply my experiences to my future family. I think as a child I always struggled a bit with gender stereotypes. I was too young to know what gender stereotyping actually was but I knew I didn't like it and I constantly found myself defending my views. I don't really remember when I became less interested in barbies and more interested in football but from the age of around 8 to 16 I was a "tom boy" and proud of it.
