A New Face
I'm excited to introduce quite a few new products in this post. First of all, the new makeup from Origins. I was recently introduced to this range and although excited I was a little sceptical at the thought of it. Origins is known for it's amazing skincare and sometimes when skincare brands branch out to makeup it all goes terribly wrong. Luckily I was incorrect and I'm pleased to tell you that I LOVE the range.
Origins Travel Ready
Origins are doing travel sized products!! I love Origins and often want to buy everything at the counter, so being able to get my hands on a 50ml product at half the price is great news. I also spend a lot of my time trying out new skincare so I often don't finish a whole 125ml version.
Feed your skin
A couple of weeks ago on a Sunday morning Rich and I had a mammoth juice making session, so I thought I'd show you what we made. I've always loved fresh juice and we've always had a juicer in my house. I used to make myself a Carrot and Apple juice every morning before school (looking back I can confirm that it did not help with the grades).
I really think drinking fresh juice is so good for you, it makes you feel amazing too. These were the 4 juices we tried using the Philips juicer which is the best one I've tried. I love it because you can fit whole apples and peppers in without having to cut them up into smaller pieces. My favourite juice was 'The Morning Riser'... I could literally drink gallons of it.
Wildfox Take 10 Challenge
With the limited resources I have (i.e. a non-photographer boyfriend) I managed to come out with this. I wore it with my Disco Pants, Topshop pumps, Urban Outfitters 'peace' belt, a wrist full of bracelets, the Kate Moss Rimmel lipstick in 20 and American Apparel neon red nail polish. I rolled up the bottom of the Disco Pants for a daytime look and kept my hair simple and half up.
LOOK Beauty Cool Britannia
Oh I do love patriotic nails. LOOK beauty do amazing glitter polishes, Bling being my favourite, so I was excited to try this Olympic themed limited edition polish.
Cool Britannia is a silver based polish with red and blue glitter. It's mesmorizing and beautiful. The reason I love LOOK Beauty glitter polishes is because they apply so well. I used two coats, but even after the first coat it looked perfect.
Mazagan Beach Resort
This post is very overdue, but I've finally got round to it and I really wanted to show you some of my photos.
I recently went to Morocco to represent Glam and write a review of the Mazagan Beach Resort in Casablanca. I was so excited to go and also a little nervous. The group of journalists I went with were lovely and we all got on really well.
Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
I recently picked this up in Boots as you may have seen in this video. I'd seen a couple of people talk about it but had never thought to buy it as I'm not very good at looking after my nails and my cuticles are normally hidden by nail polish.
Vintage Makeup
This is a slightly different post. My mum's cousin was recently clearing out her house and came across all this makeup from the 70s (clearing hoarding makeup runs in the family). She was a model in the 60s/70s and so spent a lot of her time trying out new makeup and generally looking gorgeous.
4 friends, 4 hair types
Welcome to the cheesiest named blog post I've ever written. These are a few of my best friends. We've known each other since we were 4 years old, we were inseparable all the way through primary school and although we went to different schools and universities we're all still ridiculously close. Although we have many things in common, our looks are definitely not one of them, especially our hair. So I thought I'd introduce you to my lovely friends and their hair (random, I know).
NEOM Invigorate Candle
I've expressed my love for NEOM candles before and NEOM products in general, but this candle is by far my favourite so far.
The new candle for July 2012 is made with uplifting scents such as Grapefruit, Bergamot and Lime. The combination of scents are supposed to create positive thoughts and strengthen your spirit.. just what I need right now!
July Favourites
Nothing has really wowed me this month, but I've got a few products that I've enjoyed using. Here's this month's favourites video. Click to watch on YouTube to see all the products in the info bar.
MUA 'Going for Gold'
MUA Limited Edition 'Going for Gold' Eyeshadow Palette £4*. MUA have brought out a 10 shadow palette to celebrate.... can you guess? You know, those games that everyone's going on about.
DIY: Lip Balm Palette
I have a problem with throwing away nice packaging and this empty Bobbi Brown Concealer palette had been sitting in my room for months. I randomly one day decided I wanted to find away to reuse it... and then the lip balm palette was born!
Elemis Limited Edition Papaya Enzyme Peel
The Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel is a cult products in the beauty world, but for some reason I'd never tried it before. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the award-winning peel, Elemis have brought one out as a limited edition, in gorgeous packaging designed by Laura Oakes. As well as the very cute design, Elemis have also teed up with a new charity called SOCO to provide funding for over 50,000 vaccinations for children in Africa.
Finished Products #1
Another video today... this time, my first empties video! I see a lot of people on Twitter asking what the point of empties videos are and why anyone would want to look through someone's empty bottles. For me, these videos are for talking about what I thought of the product and if I'd repurchase it.
