LFW Backstage: Jean Pierre Braganza S/S13
The look for this show was very dark and alien. The whole idea is that the small opening in the back of the head is exposing what looks like a spine. Words used to describe this were bones, ribcage and spinal cord.
LFW Backstage: Corrie Nielsen S/S13
The first show I went backstage at this season was Corrie Nielsen. Toni & Guy were doing the hair and the talented team was led by Indira Schauwecker.
Butter London Bossy Boots Nail Polish
I don't know if you've all heard, but Selfridges in London has recently opened the Beauty Workshop, which is an extension of their beauty hall. This part of the beauty hall stocks the more niche products such as Stila, Phyto, Bumble & Bumble and nail polish brands like Nails inc, Butter London and Essie.
Love & Toast
Initially what caught my attention was the sweet and unique packaging, it's so different to anything I've seen before. Not only are the illustrations gorgeous but when you open the lid to the outer packaging there's a cut out heart and slice of toast which is a lovely touch.
August Favourites
Burberry Sheer Summer Glow Palette*
What a beautiful highlighting palette this is. It consists of 4 colours, 2 for bronzing and 2 for highlighting, which means its a real multi-pupose product. The quality is amazing and I've really enjoyed using it.
Stila A/W
I was recently introduced to Stila's Autumn 2012 collection. Stila was once very hard to get hold of, but now many of the Boots branches stock it and I think it's great because it's a brand I really like. I was excited to see what products they will be launching and I wasn't disappointed.
Glitter makes the world go round
I thought I'd show you some of my glitter nail polishes today as I've become a bit of a magpie within the last year and I seemed to have collected quite a few! There are more, but here are the best ones.
Lady Gaga Fame
As we all know, Lady Gaga isn't one to do things discreetly or to conform in any way, so there has been a lot of rumours surrounding the release of her first fragrance. I heard that her perfume would be containing some ingredients that are so obscure (and gross) that I can't even mention them on here.
Topshop Makeup and Louise Gray
For the first time, Topshop makeup has collaborated with a designer and I'm so pleased they went with a British one. The A/W collection is based on Louise Gray's vibrant personality so it's young, bold and fun.
Shu Uemura: Style your own
A couple of weeks ago I went along to the Shu Uemura shop in Covent Garden to have a play with some of their products. We spent the first half of the evening watching a makeup demonstration and the second half... ready for it... building our own palettes!
Most Worn Things: Beauty Edition
Today's post is a tag video that I was tagged to do by Anna. I hope you like it, let me know what you think and for all the product details and to see who I've tagged, click 'more info' on the video.
Kiehl's Aromatic Blends
This is a long overdue post but I've finally got my act together to tell you about this amazing new venture from Kiehl's. Kiehl's is a brand I've always loved, they do great skincare and their stores are a pleasure to shop in. They've never quite taken the plunge and launched a fragrance... until now. In fact they've not only launched one, but four new fragrances.
6 Product Lazy Face
When I know I'm spending the day at home there's really no need to put on a full face of makeup. Some people don't bother at all, but I like to, simply because it makes me feel awake and more human.
Blue Nail Polish
I think it's fair to say that my favourite colour nail polish is blue. I'm not sure why exactly, it's not at all natural and can look quite young, but I just always gravitate towards blue and turquoise.
Here's a collection of some of my favourites, with the majority being from Essie as you know I'm a big fan.
Ojon Rare Blend Oil
When I first saw this hair oil my jaw literally dropped at how beautiful it is. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it and I was so surprised when I realised it wasn't the bottle that was yellow, white and red but the actual product itself.
Spritzing
As you all know, I'm completely in love with my shampoo and conditioner from Ojon so I wanted to try another product from the range. I like the idea of a Revitilizing Mist so after trying a little spritz in-store, I picked one up at John Lewis. It's a pre-styling treatment that has some lovely ingredients like lemongrass and Ginseng which all help to revitalise and rehydrate the hair. It also help with taming frizz and detangling knots. I do really like this product, although I'm not sure I'd repurchase it as I don't think it's as good as it's price tag implies.
A New Face
I'm excited to introduce quite a few new products in this post. First of all, the new makeup from Origins. I was recently introduced to this range and although excited I was a little sceptical at the thought of it. Origins is known for it's amazing skincare and sometimes when skincare brands branch out to makeup it all goes terribly wrong. Luckily I was incorrect and I'm pleased to tell you that I LOVE the range.
Origins Travel Ready
Origins are doing travel sized products!! I love Origins and often want to buy everything at the counter, so being able to get my hands on a 50ml product at half the price is great news. I also spend a lot of my time trying out new skincare so I often don't finish a whole 125ml version.
LOOK Beauty Cool Britannia
Oh I do love patriotic nails. LOOK beauty do amazing glitter polishes, Bling being my favourite, so I was excited to try this Olympic themed limited edition polish.
Cool Britannia is a silver based polish with red and blue glitter. It's mesmorizing and beautiful. The reason I love LOOK Beauty glitter polishes is because they apply so well. I used two coats, but even after the first coat it looked perfect.
