Wrap yourself around me
I bought this scarf a while ago, but haven’t had time to show it off on here. It is from Urban Outfitters and is the perfect Summer scarf. The material is thin and quite sheer, but as there is a lot of material it still looks like a nice big scarf. It is easy to fold up and keep in your handbag in case the temperature suddenly drops and you need it. This is happening a lot in London at the moment!
Dreaming of the beach
I am not sure why I bought these shorts… it is definitely not warm enough to wear them, but I LOVE them! These Topshop shorts are the best fitting shorts I have ever bought and are by far the most comfortable as they are slightly high waisted. I love the cotton detail at the bottom! This is also the mens t-shirt that I bought from Primark and cut into a vest top. I think it worked really well and I’m really happy with it! I think this might be my new way of buying vest tops 🙂
Sunday Post
A lovely little free tube of Liz Earl’s Cleanse and Polish from The Sunday Times newspaper.
Style Spot: Barbour
Debs is back on my blog! I couldn’t resist taking some snaps of her in her Barbour jacket because it looks so good on her! She wanted one for ages and then for her last birthday she got one. I love the one she picked, it has the best lining and looks great on her. I mean, I think you have to be pretty cool to pull one of these off, as they do kind of look like fisherman’s coats… but wear it with some skinnies and a cool top and there you go..easy peasy!
Laduree London
I have walked past Laduree in Covent Garden so many times, but finally this weekend I had some time to stop for a drink and a macaroon. I have always loved Laduree, it is so French and beautiful. I am very happy it has opened in London.
Hed Kandi Purple Dream
This is one of those situations where I was offered to be sent something and at the time I said ‘ooh yes please’, but then soon after realized it’s not really me. I think these Hed Kandi headphones are still worth a mention though, as they are quite cute. I would have loved them when I was younger, and I really like the range of colours they come in.
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua
I am sure this is the millionth review you have read on this product, but as it is something I am really loving at the moment, I thought I would share it with you anyway… A while ago, when it first came out, I went to Selfridges and got a sample of the Chanel foundation ‘Vitalumiere Aqua’. When I tried it on at home, I did half my face with Vitalumiere and the other half with Vitalumiere Aqua. At the time I felt that the Aqua foundation was too heavy for me, despite the description of it as a light foundation.
Beach on the Thames
A while ago, on a Sunday, my boyfriend and I decided to go to the Southbank. It’s something I love to do when I have the time. I love the atmosphere, the views and there is always something going on there. This time there was a beach and a long row of differently themed beach huts… lovely! There was also a display of paper airplanes which I loved!
Silver Service: Wishbone
The nice people at Silver Service sent me this gorgeous necklace last week. When it arrived I opened it up and I was so happy with it. You can never tell online what these kind of things will be like, but this necklace is really great quality.
SoF Photo Diary
After a weekend in the South of France here is a massive photo overload… enjoy!
Spontaneous Brighton
Hello! I am back in England after a lovely weekend trip to the South of France. It was a really nice weekend and once I sort out all my photos I will share all the details on here.
But before then, here are some photos from our trip to Brighton last weekend. We woke up Saturday morning with the urge to do something we don’t usually do. So me, my boyfriend, my sister and my brother-in-law jumped on a train to Brighton.
A bientot!
So I am off to the south of France tomorrow morning. My family and I are going to stay in our flat, which I have been lucky enough to be able to visit my whole life. We may be selling it soon, so it could be the last time I go and I have so many great memories there (like my first Eater egg hunt), it is sad to think of someone else staying there.
Day Makeup
So I woke up early on Friday to watch the wedding and got a bit bored waiting for it all to begin, so I decided to film a little video. I’m not a make-up artist and I don’t think anyone is really interested in what I have to say about makeup, so instead of rambling on I just filmed a basic makeup routine.
What I Wore Today
The temperature has definitely dropped in London, but I am not prepared to give up spring pastel colours yet. I love combining mint pastel green with nude pink, I did it here with my nails! This floaty top from Topshop (years ago) is a perfect spring top. The vest top is from H&M – I love their vest tops! I also wore my new Aldo shoes which I will show you in another post.
London Summer
I love London in the Summer. The bank holidays so far have been spent having picnics, sitting in the garden, chilling in pub beer gardens… and I am loving it! The weather has been amazing – here are some of my recent snaps!
Cluck Cluck!!
So the hen day/night was a MASSIVE success! I am so happy everything went to plan and everyone had such a great time. I can’t share all the photos, but here are a few…
Hearts & Crosses
Really sorry for the lack of posts this week. I have had a busy week at work and so haven’t had much time for the blog 🙁
It is my sister’s hen night this Saturday, which I have been organising with two other people for months! I am nervous but also really excited. It is going to be great and hopefully I can share some snaps on here. I will hopefully be able to do some more beauty blogging soon too as I am really enjoying finding new products – they seem to be working great, my skin is the best it’s ever been right now!
Spray Painted
There is a massive H&M by where I work, but everytime I go in there I never seem to find anything and it is very frustrating. But recently I made the best discovery… Right upstairs, on the third floor, at the back is the BEST section. It is where all the better quality, slightly more expensive clothes are. I found so many nice things and this jumper was one of them.
