Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick, Cherish & Honey – £5.99

I walked through Boots the other day and saw these. I had no idea they were already available in the UK, it seems that they came here much quicker than the lip butters did!

I picked up three shades; Lovesick, Cherish and Honey. The packaging is pretty much exactly like the Clinique Chubby sticks; it looks like a crayon with a twisty bit at the bottom. They’re really nice and easy to apply which is something I really like about them. They apply as a glossy balm and leave a stain behind once the gloss fades. Lovesick, especially, has a very vibrant tint. Lovesick is a bright pink, Cherish is a a bubblegum pink and Honey is a dark nude pink.

I think the price is good and I’ve also found them to be really nice mixed with other lip products, such as the Clinique Instant Light lip perfecter. My only negative would be the smell which is very strange. I think they are supposed to smell like mint but to me they just smell like soil and I’m not a big fan of it.

Have you got your hands on any of these yet? What are your thoughts?

Shopping at Boots! https://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2012/07/shopping-at-boots.html https://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2012/07/shopping-at-boots.html#disqus_thread Tue, 17 Jul 2012 10:54:00 +0000 http://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/shopping-at-boots/

I’ve done a bit of naughty shopping at Boots in the past couple of weeks so I thought I’d show you what I picked up. Does anyone else feel that Boots has got so much better in the last year? I think we may finally be catching up with America and they’re impressive drugstores.

Enjoy the video and let me know what you think of everything I bought. As always, please click to watch the video on YouTube to see all the products in the info bar.

Revlon Lip Butter Sweet Boutique https://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2012/06/revlon-lip-butter-sweet-boutique.html https://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2012/06/revlon-lip-butter-sweet-boutique.html#disqus_thread Mon, 18 Jun 2012 13:00:00 +0000 http://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/revlon-lip-butter-sweet-boutique/
I’m sure you remember my trip to America at Christmas as the haul posts went on for weeks. I spent far too much money but got so many amazing products. At the top of my list were the Revlon Lip Butters after watching so many American YouTubers rave about them. Here’s my post on the lip butters I bought and my thoughts on them.
They’ve been available in the UK for a while now, but I just thought I’d give you a heads up on the cool competition Revlon are hosting on their Facebook page at the moment.
On 7th June they opened up the Sweet Boutique on their Facebook page. It’s a gorgeous and very well designed app that resembles an old fashioned sweet shop. The ‘shop’ is open Monday to Friday, 8am till 11am and everyday they will be giving away 100 different lip butters. What’s even more exciting is on 2nd July they will launch a 3-day prize draw for someone to win the entire 14 shade collection!
So visit their Facebook page here to see which shade they’re giving away today and enter for your chance to win. Good luck!

Are you a fan of the lip butters?

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters https://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2012/01/revlon-colorburst-lip-butters.html https://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2012/01/revlon-colorburst-lip-butters.html#disqus_thread Wed, 04 Jan 2012 22:55:00 +0000 http://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/revlon-colorburst-lip-butters/ Revlon lip butters were at the top of my list of things to buy in America. After seeing Allison rave about them, I was desperate to get my hands on some. Now when I say these things are hard to find, I seriously mean it. I went into every single Walgreens, CVS and ULTA that I came across in Miami and New York and only found them about couple of times – and there were always only a few left on the stand – ridiculous! I managed to get my hands on 7, which sounds like a lot, but there are 20 different shades in total and after trying one I wanted to try them all…

Tinted lip balms are always so disappointing and usually leave very little colour on my lips, so I was eager to see if these really lived up to the hype. I’m really impressed with the result and love how they feel more like a moisturising lipstick than a balm.

They come in similar packaging to the ColorBurst lipsticks and have clear lids so you can see the colour of the product inside. Once you’ve pulled off the lid, the lip balm winds up really nicely and feels like a high quality lipstick.

It applies really well and although it doesn’t last as long as a lipstick, it’s easy to re-apply without a mirror.

Here are the colour swatches…

Most of them have a slight shimmer, but it’s quite subtle. My favourite shades are Pink Truffle and Berry Smoothie. I find it quite difficult to wear lipstick during the day without it looking too much, so this is a great alternative!

I’m officially obsessed! At the moment these aren’t available in the UK, which is very annoying. Hopefully they will come to the UK soon, but in the meantime, if you know anyone going to America or Canada, MAKE THEM BUY YOU SOME! I got them for $7 each which is so reasonable!

What do you think of them? Have you tried one yet?
Are you now desperately thinking of how you can get your hands on one? You should be….  🙂

The best of 2011 https://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2012/01/the-best-of-2011.html https://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/2012/01/the-best-of-2011.html#disqus_thread Sun, 01 Jan 2012 13:49:00 +0000 http://www.lilypebbles.co.uk/the-best-of-2011/

Blusher: SMASHBOX Fusion Soft Lights is the perfect blusher for me and looks really natural on. I wear this pretty much everyday for work.
Foundation: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua has been my favourite foundation this year as it’s appropriate for so many different occasions. I wear the shade B20 Beige Tendre. It makes your skin look flawless whilst still looking natural. It’s also really easy to apply with your hands.
Face Primer: The Laura Mercier fondation primer is by far the best primer I have tried. I use it every single day and without it my makeup disappears after an hour. It’s light and fragrance free – without this primer there’s no point in applying any of my other makeup.
Eye Shadow: This year I was introduced to the new LOOK makeup range and have loved using the Triple Hit in La Luxe. The shadows are really pigmented and are the perfect everyday shades.
Concealer: The Bobbi Brown corrector wins hands down. Creamy, perfect colour match, long-wearing and easy to apply. This completely covers my dark circles and I couldn’t live without it.
Lips: This year I bought my first matte lipstick – MAC’s Chili. It’s a gorgeous deep, rust red which I’ve worn lots throughout the Winter. I also discovered Revlon’s Lip Butters and my favourite shade at the moment is 001 Pink Truffle.
Mascara: I recently bought the Makeup For Ever Smoky Lash mascara from Sephora and it beats any mascara I’ve used before. It makes my lashes look thick and long in only a few strokes.

Eye Primer: Far better than any of it’s competitors, the MUA eye primer makes my eye shadows apply much better and last much longer – and it’s so cheap!!

Eye Liner: Soap & Glory released their new makeup range this year and my favourite thing from the collection is the Super Cat liquid felt tip eye liner. It’s really easy to use and creates a thick black line that doesn’t budge all day.
Brushes: My 3 favourite brushes from this year are the Japonesque 324, MAC 214 and the Sephora airbrush concealer brush. The Japonesque brush is incredibly soft and picks up so much product, the MAC brush applies eye shadow perfectly under the bottom lash line and the Sephora brush is bigger than the average concealer brush making it really easy to blend in product under the eye.
Happy New year everyone! Hope you like my product round up – are any of these your favourite too?
