WEAR //

I’m loving the twill a-line skirts at Urban Outfitters at the moment. They come in all different colours and look great with tights, boots and a high necked sweater tucked in. Whether I can pull it off or not, I’m not sure, but I like them nevertheless.

LIFE //

We finally have the Internet *cheers*. So we can finally set up our TV and watch YouTube and Netflix. I’m not a huge Netflix user so I haven’t explored much. We’ve been told by all our friends to watch Narcos so that’s next on the list, but is there anything else you guys recommend watching on Netflix?

EATS //

I’ve become a bit obsessed with the Biona Honey Hazlenut Granola. It would be easy to make yourself but for something quick to eat in the morning I’ve really enjoyed having some of this with yoghurt, honey and some berries. Sometimes I add some bananas for sweetness too! Delicious.

Have a great weekend and see you tomorrow morning for a new video!

I finally have a wardrobe! It was so nice to be able to unpack my clothes, hang them up and actually see what I have (I even managed a round two of clearing out!). It was an awkward space to fit a wardrobe so we weren’t sure for a while what to do. The space isn’t very deep and the celling is slanted so to just buy a wardrobe and slot it in wasn’t really an option. My very good friend who owns Manhattan Closets came to the rescue and created a simple, but effective open wardrobe where we managed to fit two drawers, two shelves and two separate poles for hanging space. I’m sure I’ll be giving you the grand tour soon! Their expertise in wardrobes came in extremely handy although my dinky little space isn’t exactly what they’re used to. Manhattan Closets specialise in amazing walk in wardrobes and sliding door wardrobes. Their creations are beautiful and have me dreaming of a Carrie Bradshaw walk in wardrobe. The system works; shelves, hanging space and accessories galore for your scarves, jewellery, shoes, underwear. Ir’s all completely customisable depending on how you like to use your space. Definitely worth checking out if you have the budget, the space and you’re ready for your dream wardrobe. I’ll be back one day when I’ve convinced Rich to let me take a whole room for my wardrobe!

LIFE //
I found the most perfect spot for the illustration that Rich proposed to me with. I’ve placed it on a wide IKEA picture shelf, just above my chest of drawers in the bedroom and then added these photo booth prints of us. I love how it looks and I get to see it every morning.

EATS //
This week I made Chilli. It’s not something I eat that often as my mum has always hated minced meat, but I for some reason fancied it and found this Jamie Oliver recipe online. A lot goes into it and like all Jamie recipes, prep is key! It was really delicious though and this recipe made enough chilli to last Rich two weeks worth of packed lunch! Yum.

Have a great weekend!

Can you imagine being able to shop the clothes in your favourite store by seeing them modelled on your gorgeous best friend first? Well yeah, that’s me. I already had a love affair with The White Company but seeing my best friend (of 24 years!) all over the website, catalogue and in store is just making me want all the clothes even more! I’m loving the A/W collection and I’ve already picked up one sweater. When you think of The White Company I think most of us think of bedding and candles but their clothes are so gorgeous and are made so well. I’d definitely recommend checking it out because the clothes are to die for… the model’s not that bad either!

LIFE //
I’ve really been enjoying the “Future of Fashion” series on the British Vogue YouTube channel. It’s hosted by Alexa Chung who is still my all-time girl crush. She’s so great at interviewing and the whole series is a really interesting look at the fashion industry and what goes on behind the scenes. I’m all for teaching younger students what other jobs there are out there and I think this is a really nice way to open up more opportunities to work in fashion. Have a watch and let me know what you think!

EATS //
Nope… still not much to report here. We’ve only just done our first big shop for the new place so I’ve been eating beans on toast all week. I did, however, pick up this book for Anna’s birthday and I think it looks great. I’m sure she’ll let you guys know if she finds anything groundbreaking but if you’re a breakfast fan I think this will be right up your street!

WEAR //
Hmmm.. What have I been wearing this week? Well considering that most of my stuff is packed up in boxes, not much really, not much. This whole packing thing though has forced me to pick a very small selection of makeup items for the week, so only the very best and essential could stay out of boxes. I’m sure you can guess what they all are but I’ll tell you anyway. Estee Lauder CC Cream, NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher Concealer, Soap & Glory Solar Powder, Illamasqua Naked Rose Blush, Becca Champagne Pop, Anastasia Brow Wiz, my MAC Palette, Tom Ford liquid eyeliner, Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara, Clarins Tea Rose Lipstick and Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 05. Ok so that seems like quite a lot, but it’s really just a face of makeup and hopefully something that can work for me every day whilst I’m in the process of moving.

LIFE //
Eylure have recently launched a new app called “Try Lash”, a free app to download onto your phone. As you guys know I don’t often wear lashes, I find them quite daunting, I don’t really know how to apply them and I wouldn’t even know where to start. The idea of Try Lash is to take away the confusion of the lash world and make it easier for people like me to learn more about them and to try them out virtually in the comfort of my own home before giving them a go in real life. The app allows you to compare all the different Eylure lashes and teaches you how to apply them but the best bit about the app is the “Apply Lashes” function. It’s really easy to use, you take a selfie, pick your lashes, move the diagram to fit your eye shape and then the lashes are virtually placed onto yours so you can see what they all look like and how they compare. I thought it would be creepy but it actually looks really realistic and gives you a good idea of which lashes suit your eye shape and face. Warning, it’s a little bit addictive. And I’m not going to lie, I went for the biggest, fullest lashes first… just to see! It’s here for iPhones and here for Android… give it a go yourself and let me know what you think!

EATS //
One of my favourite things to eat when I’m out and about in London is the aubergine tagine at Comptoir Libanais. It’s completely delicious, leaves you feeling satisfied but not overly full and I can’t get enough of it. My mum and I thought we’d give it a go ourselves one night this week so after a quick google I came across this recipe from the Foodie in Berlin blog, which I’d never read before. It seems really similar so we gave it a go and it was delicious! It was pretty much exactly like the one in the restaurant and if we did it again, all that we’d change it we’d make the aubergine chunks smaller and maybe cook for a tad longer. So yummy, so easy and I’d really recommend it.

This week I’m going back to my old style of Wear Life Eats post as I actually have something to talk about in each category!

WEAR // I’ve been loving my Olive Cooper bag recently. It’s the perfect size for daily use and the leather is so soft, you can tell it’s been made beautifully. I also love the gold hardware and the buckle, I get so many compliments on this bag.

LIFE // There’s still so much going on for me at the moment. We’re still moving and sorting out the flat, I’ve started to look into wedding venues (eek!), I’m planning my best friend’s hen party and my parents are getting a new dog! So we’re currently trying to decide on a name for the puppy – we’re getting another Tibetan Terrier and she’s incredibly cute. Also (I’m hoping my friend isn’t reading this) but if you guys have any ideas for games at hen parties (aside from the usual Mr & Mrs etc) the please let me know! I stumbled across We Built This City on Carnaby Street the other day and completely fell in love. It’s a shop filled with prints, artwork and stationary and I was in there for hours! I picked up this tea print along with some other cards. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

EATS // Good news! Homeslice have opened their second branch in London. It’s probably my favourite place for pizza in London so it’s great to now have two options, one in Covent Garden and another in Fitzrovia. It’s a must visit when in London!

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you all tomorrow for a new video!

After getting back to London following a brief fling with Germany, I spent the four day week juggling work, flat stuff and potentially a bit of wedding organisation (it’s early days!). I’ve become a bit of a professional juggler these days but I’m by no means very good at it. I struggle to focus on one task at a time and never seems to finish one before moving onto the next. I’m in that funny in between stage where I hope to move into our new place and develop some kind of routine but for now I’m just hovering somewhere in the middle. It’s exciting though, now the boring stuff like painting is done we can actually start building furniture and thinking about styles and themes. The only room I haven’t really thought through is my office… I have so much stuff to store (with no storage space) so I’m going to have to be clever about how I plan the room.

I give it a little mention in tomorrow’s video but if you haven’t heard, I’ve been nominated for the In Style Project 13 Awards. I’be been put forward for Most Outstanding and the winner gets a feature in the magazine. If you’d like to, I’d love it if you could vote for me – it would really mean the world!

This weekend I’ll be working/doing home stuff but either way, hopefully being productive! I hope you all have a nice weekend and tomorrow’s video is the first of many home hauls, so I hope you’ll like it!
