A year later my house remains for the most part really tidy and the amazing thing is, once you do this (and yes it is A LOT of work), it isn’t even that hard to keep the house tidy. Also, a year later I must say that a lot of things I questioned about the book, actually make sense. So, while i don’t thank my handbag at the end of every day (she doesn’t say you have to do that, i think it is just her way of telling her story, and a lot of it is also cultural), i have gotten into the habit of going through my handbag at the end of the days and making sure i don’t have things i don’t need in it; for me my packed bag in which i couldn’t find what i needed (car keys! my lip moisturizer!) used to be such a source of frustration. And while she doesn’t explicitly mention donating to charity, i did donate tens of bags charity. I could go on with examples but i ll end this long post by saying that while some of it might sound strange, or extreme, apply it as close to what she says as possible, with a touch of what also makes sense for you in your house.
