HOW TO COVER DARK CIRCLES

I have always had dark circles under my eyes since a young age at school. For me, it’s mainly due to lack of sleep so in the past year they’ve massively improved (thanks bath salts), but I still like to cover what’s there with my usual routine.

The key thing with dark circles is to try and cancel out the dark blue or purple colour. I’ve found the best way to do this is by using a pink or peach toned concealer. I love the Bobbi Brown Corrector and use the shade ‘light bisque’. It’s a creamy texture that is easy to apply with either your finger or a brush. I apply it only where I need it which is the inner and outer corners of my eye. Once it’s completely blended in using the heat of my finger and a fluffy brush, I can then cover any darkness that it left and set it in place with the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in ‘vanilla’.

You don’t have to use a Bobbi Brown corrector though, if you are already loyal to a brand have a look at their concealer shade range and try to find a pink or peach toned concealer to try yourself. You’ll be able to see instantly if it cancels out your dark circles or simply emphasises them, so play around and find your perfect match.

I have not yet found an eye cream that actually gets rid of dark circles, so for now I’m sticking to a couple of long baths and early nights a week. What do you use to cover your dark circles?
