CLINIQUE GET THE LOOK

I often forget about Clinique’s makeup offerings as they’re mostly well known for their skincare. I recently received a package in the post and inside was a beautiful booklet filled with eight different makeup looks created by Clinique’s Global Colour Artist Jenna Menard and I was completely inspired to try one myself.

Clinique have some great makeup bits, so I tried out some of their eye and lip products to create this look.

I started with the new All About Shadow Primer in ‘Medium’. I’m assuming the idea with these is to get a shade that suits your skin tone, but I actually love the darker shades and they work really well as a base for a brown smokey eye. This one has a slight orange tone so it really warms up the eye whilst also priming it. On top of the primer I used the darker shade from the ‘Buttered Toast’ eyeshadow duo and it applied beautifully, leaving a subtle sheen on the eyelid. For the outer corners I used ‘Olive in My Martini’ which is a beautiful brown shadow with olive undertones. I finished the eyes by lining them with ‘Intense Peridot’ pencil which is also an olive/brown shade and was really easy to smudge along the lashline. For my lips I used a Chubby Stick in ‘Heaping Hazelnut’, which is an easy-to-wear nude.

Clinique simplifies makeup, so next time you’re at a counter don’t overlook it… there are some real gems!
