A FRENCH AFFAIR

I wanted to share with you some snaps from my short trip in the south of France. I’ve been going to Antibes and Juan les Pins my entire life. We used to spend every Easter and summer there on a family holiday, so it really feels like a second home to me. It’s nice to be able to pop there for a fews days, because when you know an area so well you can settle in really quickly.

One of my favourite things to do is browse the incredible food markets. I usually come away with some tapenade, goat’s cheese, saucisson and fresh veg. Eating out can get expensive so it’s nice to stay in sometimes and make dinner.

When we do eat out we tend to go to the amazing restaurants on the beach or the secret finds down the alleyways of Old Antibes. Breakfast is always a highlight because the French really know how to do bread and the boulangeries are really great. I usually go for a pain au chocolat because the ones we get in the UK are never as fresh.

Of course a trip to France wouldn’t be the same without a pharmacy haul and although this time I didn’t go mad, I did pick up some bits I had my eye on. I bought another La Roche Posay Serozinc because you can’t find it in the UK and I love it as a toner and I also picked up a travel sized Caudalie Beauty Elixir in preparation for my long haul flight to New York. The Plancentor Vegetal eye pads looked really interesting but after trying them I think they’re slightly too slimey for me! The Lierac lip balm is so lovely and leaves a sheer pink finish, it now has a permanent place in my handbag as well as the travel sized perfume I picked up from Reminiscence. Reminiscence is one of my favourite jewellery stores and I fell in love with their Rem & Bow mango and grapefruit fragrance. Another beauty must have I spotted was the Phyto Plage range, specifically the before beach prep spray and the after beach repair spray. I didn’t pick these up because my summer holidays are over, but next year these will be mine!

So, there’s not much else to say. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed seeing some lifestyle posts from my quick break. Let me know if you’ve also visited the south of France, it really has got a huge place in my heart and I love going back!
