MAKEUP BAGS

It seems I have quite an obsession with makeup bags despite having no real use for them. I rarely stay away from home and when I do I take a larger travel bag, so really they just sit in my room for decoration and I occasionally lug them around in my handbag just for the fun of it!

Saying that though, I seemed to have collected quite a cute collection of useless makeup bags. My favourite of the moment being my Whistles one that I mentioned yesterday. A leather pouch that doubles up as a clutch bag? Yes please.

I’ve also been loving my puckered up zip bag made by Charlotte Tilbury for her Rock’n’Kohl week at Selfridges. The canvas bag is covered in famous kisses and I love how the zip opens right down the sides so you can really open the bag up wide. You can fit loads of products  in, so this would be my first choice for an overnight stay makeup bag. They’re not sold out yet, so you can still get one here

& Other Stories does the best accessories and they’re reversible scuba clutch bags are great.  They come in lots of different colours and as they’re made of scuba fabric, they’re pretty hard to damage. They’re also really light-weight so I’d recommend these for those of you who have to carry around your makeup bag all day.

Finally my ‘L’ bag that I got from Alphabet Bags a few years ago. I pretty much love anything with an ‘L’ on it and actually this structured makeup bag has come in pretty handy in the past. It’s nice that it sits up by itself and as it’s coated so doesn’t get grubby.

What’s your makeup bag of choice? Anyone else collect them despite never actually using them?!
