DRIED UP BY THE SUN

I usually save moisturising posts for the winter months, but this summer has been particularly hot and dry so these products have been a life saver! Everything has seemed to dry out so I’ve been reaching for super moisturising products to add the life back into my skin and hair.

For my hair I’ve been using the L’Oreal Paris Ever Riche conditioner for ‘very dry, unruly hair’. It’s supposedly free of any sulphates, waxes and nasty ingredients, but personally I just like this because it’s an intense conditioner that smells good and gives instant results. I usually invest in expensive haircare, but something about this appealed to me and I’ve really been enjoying it.

My legs get particularly dry in the summer, probably because I shave them more often (you should see them in the winter months!). For a quick fix I have really been enjoying the Nip+Fab Dry Leg Fix that came free with my Cosmopolitan magazine this month. It rubs in really easily instantly moisturising any dry patches and this smaller size is really handy when you’re on the go!

For my lips I’ve been using my Nuxe Reve de Miel which I’ve fallen back in love with since it’s melted in the heat. It leaves a matte finish so it’s perfect for wearing under lipstick, but I also just love it on it’s own.

The Weleda Skin Food is something I picked up in a homeopathic store recently because it looked interesting and well let’s face it, it said the word food on it! It says it’s for dry and rough skin and the formulation is quite oily so I only really use this on my elbows, heels or any really dry areas. I’s very good for adding moisture back into the skin and I’ve become a bit addicted to it.

For my hands I’ve been loving the Dr Hauschka hand cream which smells incredible and seriously cures dry hands instantly! The slim packaging also makes it a great handbag companion.

Finally, a new product I bought a couple of weeks ago, the Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil. Sometimes I can be put off by body oils because of the mess that comes with them, but this ones comes in a spray which makes the whole thing a lot easier! You only need three sprays on each limb and your skin will feel amazing. It’s a really great ‘budget buy’ and it’s only really the sent that is different from the high end body oils I’ve tried. It takes a little longer to sink into the skin, but it’s a great one to use before bed and you wake up with the softest skin.

By the time winter comes around I’ll be more than ready!
