A SUMMER EVENING

Well this is unfamiliar turf… I haven’t done an outfit post for a very long time. The evenings are lighter and I happened to have a very helpful friend round, so I thought I’d snap away at my outfit before we headed out to a little party.

I recently spent a small fortune in Topshop and came out with three items, what’s up with that?! I was really happy with my purchases though and this dress was one of them. It’s made out of quite thick material so it sits really well and doesn’t blow up in the wind. I don’t usually go for such high necks and I never do sleeveless, but when I tried it on there was something about this dress that just worked. It’s quite structured and short so I think it flatters my body shape (hides my tummy but shows off my legs). I always try to dress to suit my body shape, I think it’s the way forward!

My structured clutch bag is from Zara and it’s perfect for me because it’s big enough to fit an umbrella in. An umbrella may not be needed in this weather but the rest of the year this criteria for a bag is important! Finally, my boots are from Hudson and they are my all-time favourites and I wear them daily. Wearing dainty shoes or heels would have made this look too girly for me and I would have felt so awkward. I often throw on a pair of scruffy boots and feel way more confident.

For details on my makeup, check this post, and for how I did my nails go to this post.

I’m loving these Summer evenings, what do you think of my outfit of choice?
