POUR LES PIEDS

I often film for other YouTube channels that aren’t my own and it’s not uncommon to be told quite last minute what I’m actually filming. Having to think on the spot and go with the flow has become something I’ve got used to, but last week I was told that I’d be filming a foot treatment at a London spa the following day and although I’m sure most people’s first thoughts would be “ooh lovely, a pedicure”, mine were “oh my god I need to sort my feet out!”. Current foot state? Gel polish left on from my holiday in January, dry skin and general unpleasantness.

So this is how it goes down…

I fill my sink up with warm water, sprinkle some Body Shop foot soak in and jump up onto the table top so I can sit with my feet in the sink (it’s definitely a sight to be seen!). I let my feet soak in there for about 5 minutes or until they feel soft, I then take them out and place them onto a towel. It’s then time for some exfoliating which is my favourite part despite the fact that my feet get really ticklish. The Margaret Dabbs exfoliating foot mousse was in the first ever UK Glossybox and I’ve kept it ever since. Margaret Dabbs is known for their amazing treatments and this foot mousse is really exfoliating but somehow still feels gentle. After scrubbing away and using The Body Shop’s “no more rough stuff foot smoother” on my heels my feet are left feeling so soft and smooth. I rinse all the foot mousse off and then pat my feet dry.

You don’t need to hear about me clipping my toenails, but that bit happens now when my nails are softer. I also then painted them with Maybelline’s ‘Mint for Life’ for a bit of Summer colour. To finish off the foot transformation I like to moisturise them well and I’m not that fussy I just use any body moisturiser I have. Seeing as I did this in the evening I used the This Works Deep Sleep Dream Cream because it smells like bedtime.

I don’t think I’ll ever feel comfortable having a camera zoom in on my feet but at least in this case they were half presentable.

Are you a foot neglector too?
