OJON RARE BLEND
Ojon haircare was one of my favourite discoveries from 2012 and I haven’t looked back since. I’m an avid fan of the Dry Recovery range and so I was excited to try out a couple of the new products from the Rare Blend range. I tried the Rare Blend oil last year and wrote about it in this post, so I already knew these products would be perfect for my hair.
I was treated to a cut and blowdry with Ojon’s global stylist Erminio Fiocca where he used both products on me and I was impressed!
Let’s start with the Rare Blend Deep Conditioner which is £29 and as you can kind of see from the photo is a dual-phase cream that looks like a creme egg! You can either use this as a weekly or bi-weekly conditioning treatment or if you have really dry hair you can use it as a conditioner. It repairs, detangles, hydrates, smoothes and restores gloss in the hair. Ojon is all about the amazing ingredients and there are over 5 amazing oils and butters from around the world in this product.
To go alongside this is the Rare Blend Protecting Treatment which is a pre-heat styling spray and is £23. The honey, ginseng and lemongrass in this helps to nourish the hair and prevent any breakage, which is something I get a lot. It also helps with detangling which is why it’s good to spray onto damp hair after washing and before styling.
Both products are really good and have been working well on my hair, but one thing to point out is that they are really intense and so can feel quite heavy on the hair. You should really use them sparingly and if you’re hair can’t take the weight than these probably aren’t for you. If you have really dry hair though then I would recommend them for a bit of intense hydration.
