BEAUTY STEAL: NIVEA LIP BUTTERS
Welcome to a new feature on WIHT… the beauty steal. It’s partly because I know you guys like to hear about beauty bargains, but mainly because it’ll encourage me to try more ‘drugstore’ bits and save some pennies.
So to start things off I really wanted to talk about these new lip butters from Nivea. I’d heard a few American beauty girls talking about these and didn’t really think much of them, a lip balm in a pot… pretty standard. I recently got sent a couple to try out and even then I wasn’t blown away but I kept them on my desk to give them a fair trial.
A couple of weeks have passed and it seems that I’ve been reaching for these almost every day! My favourite is the ‘caramel cream’ and it’s not too sweet and sickly, but the scent is delicious and addictive. What I find different about these to most lip balms is that they are incredibly nourishing and my lips seem to stay hydrated for hours after use. I like to use it in the morning if I know I’ll be wearing a lipstick later on in the day. It helps the lipstick apply better and keeps my lips looking and feeling moisturised for longer.
They are a winner in my books and the best bit is that they’re only £1.99 – what a steal! You can get these two flavours and the Raspberry one from Superdrug and most drugstores.
