GOOD WITCH, WICKED WITCH

On Wednesday night a day before the premier, Anna and I went to the preview of the new Disney film, Oz the Great and Powerful. We looked gorgeous in our 3d glasses… we really did!

I actually really liked the film, despite being quite scared at times but I’m not going to lie I spent most of the film looking at the makeup. After all, we were there with Urban Decay to celebrate the launch of the two palettes they’ve brought out alongside the film.

It’s a pretty simple story of good witch and wicked witch and I’m sure you can tell by the finished look which palette represents the good and the bad. The finished look for Glinda was magical, pretty’n’pink and very shimmery. The finished look for Theodora, played by my biggest girl crush Mila Kunis, was smokey, sultry and powerful.

The shadows in the palettes pop out (with force!) which means you can mix and match if you already own an Urban Decay palette. They are all amazing quality, as always, and each palette includes two new duo shades, a 24/7 eyeliner and a high-gloss lip colour.

My picks from the palettes? Eyeshadows in Beware, West and Illusion and the high-gloss lip colour in Theodora. You know which palette is my favourite, it’s obvious… Theodora, and it’s not just because it has Mila’s face on it.

For £35 each these palettes are a pretty good deal considering a single eyeshadow would normally cost you £14. I also LOVE the little instruction card that comes with it, did I tell you that’s how I recreated the looks above? I followed the instructions step by step and they were really easy and straight forward.

I think it’s a fun launch, but what do you think of the palettes? Which look is your favourite out of the two?
