Negozio Classica, Primrose Hill, London

Negozio Classica is a lovely little Italian restaurant/wine bar in Primrose Hill, North London. It’s not your typical Italian though and offers more antipasti type dishes rather than the usual pizza and pasta. There is also a branch in Notting Hill.

This one is on Primrose Hill high street which is a gorgeous little street filled with boutique shops, cafes and bakeries. It’s also right next to the park which is so nice to walk in, I usually walk all the way through until you get to London Zoo where you can see loads of the animals without even going in (cheapskate!).

Anyway, back to the restaurant! The decor is really cute and very shabby chic. The outside and the front is very laid-bak and has a cafe feel to it with an open coffee counter, but towards the back of the restaurant it’s a bit more secluded and quieter. The staff there are lovely, one lady in particular who’s now on maternity leave is always really friendly when we go. The food is amazing…. really amazing, but what I really like about this place is how comfortable and easy it is. This time when I went I really wanted a pasta, but nothing too fancy. Nothing on the menu really stood out to me so I asked if they could make me a penne pasta with a bit of tomato sauce, garlic etc and they did. They actually loved doing something new and got quite into it and I ended up with a really yummy pasta!

We had wine and well, you throw wine in the mix and it always ends up expensive, but if you’re just ordering just food and soft drinks it’s not CRAZY prices.

I really like it and would definitely go back!
