THIS TIME OF YEAR…

IMG_0476There’s always a shift in my personal beauty department this time of year… did I really just call it a beauty department? Let’s go with it.

The matte eyeshadows make an appearance, the deeper burgundies come out to play and everything just gets a bit more intense. In the warmer months I’m really aware of the bright daylight showing shimmer on my skin or revealing just a bit too much makeup so I tend to keep things quite low key. But in Autumn I like to experiment more with my makeup, amp up the intensity and put a bold lip with a bold eye, why not eh!?

One beauty product that always makes a seasonal come back is the Eccentric Molecule, Molecule 01 perfume. It’s the most unique fragrance that you can’t really smell on yourself but other people will go wild for it. It’s warm, not at all sweet and well, sexy… that’s the best way I can describe it.

I love the Charlotte Tilbury matte revolution lipsticks and the two I’m wearing most at the moment are Love Liberty and Bond Girl. Although they look identical in the bullet they are a little different once applied. Love Liberty is a brighter, plum/berry shade and Bond Girl is a more natural mauve/brown shade. Both are gorgeous and great for this time of the year.

We all know I love the Viseart Matte eyeshadow palette but I’ve recently also been using the Tarte Tartelette palette which is an all matte palette. There are 12 matte shades ranging from very light base shades to subtle crease colours and then deeper matte purples and browns. The overall feel is neutral in tone and very wearable.

When the eyes and lips become more intense I still like the bronze up but usually don’t add any kind of pink blusher. The Burberry Earthy Blush is great for adding just little something without having to add any pink tones to the face. It’s subtle, matte and looks great on pale skin tones.

So those are my Autumn (but nearly Winter) favourites. Are you using any of these? Let me know what you like to use at this time of the year…
