THE BEST OF CHARLOTTE TILBURY

IMG_8778With a brand as beautiful and as enticing as Charlotte Tilbury it can be quite overwhelming when browsing the website or approaching the rose gold counters. I talk about the brand all the time but today I’ve put together a round up of all the best bits and my top picks from Charlotte Tilbury.

Light Wonder Foundation // link

This is one of my favourite bases, especially for the warmer months. It’s a tinted moisturiser with an extra kick of coverage, so you can easily apply it with your fingers but for a fuller coverage you can also use a brush. It has very slight shimmer to it but nothing overly glittery, just enough to catch the light. It’s dewy skin at it’s finest!

Dolce Vita Eyeshadow Quad // link

Charlotte does a range of different quads to go alongside each ‘look’ but the Dolce Vita look was the first to grab my attention. In the quad is four buttery, great quality shadows in wearable rusty browns. The three shimmers are more shimmery than most eyeshadows, but they blend out really nicely and look really luxurious on the lids. The glitter is a creamy powder so you apply it with your fingers or with a brush but you only need a small amount to make an impact. I prefer to wear these shadows with an evening look but there is an all matte quad that looks perfect for day wear!

Filmstar Bronze & Glow // link

I use this almost every day, it is perfect. The bronze shade is a light brown that’s not at all orange and gives just the right amount of shadow, the highlight is a soft, golden, creamy shimmer. Some people are put off by the shimmer in the palette but it’s so subtle it’s almost undetectable when on the skin. This is by far my favourite product for contouring!  I’d also really recommend the Powder & Sculpt brush for it’s bristle quality and clever handle, although I think you can probably get this sort of brush much cheaper elsewhere.

Matte Revolution Lipsticks // link

These are easily my favourite matte lipsticks because they go against everything you expect from a matte lipstick. They’re not at all heavy or drying, they feel completely comfortable and weightless on the lips. The clever square bullet makes application much easier and if you work the product in with a brush it really will last all day. The shades are wearable and gorgeous, my favourites are Love Liberty, Red Carpet Red and Glastonbury.

Rock’n’Kohl Eyeliner // link

These are definitely some of the best pencil eyeliners out there and I find myself using these on a  daily basis. The soft formulation makes it very easy to apply without dragging and they are also soft enough to use inside the eye, which can sometimes feel quite scratchy. The eye cheat is a nude and is great for opening the eyes, but my favourite has to be Elizabeth Violet for a purple tint that’s completely wearable. These are definitely worth a try!

So next time you’re thinking of treating yourself to a bit of Charlotte Tilbury, I hope this post comes in handy! Let me know what’s top of your wish list?
