BURBERRY BEAUTY: TRENCH KISSES

If I were to award ‘Most Luxe’ to one beauty brand, it would have to go to Burberry. Everything about it from the packaging to the quality of the products is impeccable and makes me go weak at the knees.

To see in the colder months, Burberry have released the Trench Kisses collection consisting of three nail polishes, four lipsticks, two lip glosses, three kohl liners, one eye shadow palette, four single eyeshadows, one foundation, one glow fluid and one blush – phew, what mouthful! I have two stand out products from the collection to show you, the Lip Cover in ‘Oxblood’ and the Effortless Kohl in ‘Stone’.

The stone eyeliner (£18) is really great because it’s so versatile. In the photo above I used it in my waterline and inner corners to brighten my eyes as well as under my brows to highlight and on my cupids bow and down my nose for a brightening effect. It’s soft and easy to blend and the shade isn’t too pink or too nude just somewhere in the middle.

The Burberry Lip Covers (£22.50) are really moisturising as they’re made with oils and gel and you wouldn’t normally find this type of texture with such a dark, rich colour. I found it slightly hard to apply at first as you do need to layer to get a deep colour that I think a shade like this deserves. With a bit of patience I applied it all over and I was happy with how it looked and felt on the lips. If you find darker shades hard to wear and prefer moisturising finishes the Lip Covers are really nice. You can also apply it with your finger for a more sheer, stained look.

It’s a beautiful collection and I definitely have my eye on the Oxblood nail polish and Effortless Kohl… *hides purse and closes laptop*.
