MAKEUP FIXERS

You know when one eye is on the mirror and one is on the TV and the next thing you know you’re sporting the Katie Price makeup look? Putting makeup on is fun and I for one am very guilty of going a bit over the top sometimes. But when I look in the mirror and see a face caked with makeup the last thing I want to do is start all over again, so here are some makeup fixers that come in very handy!

There are two options here, you can spritz it or dab it. When I’ve gone a little overboard with the foundation I let it dry and using my fingers I dab a bit of radiance cream on top. The Laura Mercier Radiance Primer and the Clarins Complexion Perfector both work well to add some dewiness into cakey foundation. I’d usually use these under my makeup, but they also work well blended in on top and they seem to take the edge off.

If you’ve gone overboard on the powder (it happens to the best of us… get a smaller brush!) then a spray will work best for you. The Clarins Fix’Makeup and Urban Decay All Nighter will inject a bit of moisture whilst also setting your makeup for the day. The Caudalie Beauty Elixir will add the perfect amount of dewiness whilst the scent will calm you down, as we all know how stressful ruining your makeup can be. The Anatomicals facial spritz that came in my Glossybox is quite a full on spray but a good budget option!

Another trick that Anna ‘the wise one’ taught me, is to spray your buffing brush with MAC Fix+ and dab it onto your skin… it works a treat!

So next time you look in the mirror and realise what you’ve done… don’t fear, just reach for a bit of dewiness!
