LAURA MERCIER TINTED MOISTURISERS

I’ve always liked my Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, despite owning it the wrong shade. I kept it aside for the summer holidays when I wanted a sheer, glowing finish. I was a fan but I always noticed that Anna was a serious fan of the stuff. I mean, she really loves it so it always made me wonder what she saw in it that I didn’t. She owns the oil-free version so when I popped into Space NK I asked what the real difference is between the two apart from one being oil-free. Then came the magic words…. “the oil-free version gives more coverage”.

Something I always felt the original formula lacked was a bit of extra coverage, so I quickly snapped up the oil-free version in ‘Nude’ to try at home. Now I see what all the fuss is about, it really is a incredible product. I apply it with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and it feels more like a foundation, similar to the Origins Plantscription. Once buffed into the skin it leaves a gorgeous glow with enough coverage to even out the skin and I found it lasted really well throughout the day.

I always avoided the oil-free version as I don’t get oily skin, but I’m so glad I picked one up because I definitely prefer it to the original and I’d highly recommend trying it. Do you own either of these tinted moisturisers? Which one is your favourite?
