ORIGINS SMARTY PLANTS CC CREAM

As a huge Origins fan, I’m always excited by a new launch and their most recent offering is a £28 CC cream due to launch in August. I feel like I’m a bit over the whole BB thing and to be honest, the CC thing too, but as it’s Origins I thought I’d make an exception and give it a go!

As a bit of background info, here are my thoughts on their BB cream and VitaZing sheer tint release moisturiser. The lightest shade of the BB cream was too dark for me so although I quite liked the thick texture, I couldn’t wear it. The VitaZing is nice as a base under makeup, but is not enough coverage to wear on it’s own so I often forget about it.

The CC cream comes in two shades, light/medium and medium/deep… I know what you’re thinking, I also felt the same. I did ask how can that possibly work, but was assured that it does. I can’t say whether it works or not on dark skins, but the lighter shade does work on me.

So what does it do? The Smarty Plants (say it in an American accent) technology works to colour correct and brighten the skin tone, hydrate and reduce appearance of fine lines/wrinkles and create a radiant complexion.

I found it matched up to my skin tone well and did look glowy and fresh on the skin. It’s very sheer though, similar to the VitaZing (less grey-toned) so if you’re a coverage kinda girl this won’t work for you. If you like a sheer tint that evens out your skin and gives a radiant effect, then I think you’ll like this. It’s a really nice tinted moisturiser with spf 20 that comes in a handy, little tube and has added benefits to help protect your skin from harsh environmental horrible things. I’ll probably be wearing it on my good skin days when I want a really natural, summer look.

So do you think this is your kinda thing?
