MONDAY MENDER: BEDTIME BEAUTY

I’ve mentioned before that I find it quite hard to get to sleep, despite being exhausted most nights. To help me drift off I like to keep a stash of sleeping beauty products by my bedside to use just before I tuck myself in.

This Works are pros when it comes to peaceful nights so I have a nice little collection of their products that I often use. I alternate using the Sleep Balm and Deep Sleep Stress Less as they’re quite similar but one is a balm and one is a roll on liquid. Both have the most heavenly sleepy smell so I use them on my wrists, neck and temples. I also love their Deep Sleep Pillow Spray which is light lavender mist that I spray onto my pillow 5 minutes before I attempt to go to sleep. The last This Works product is the Muscle Therapy from their In Transit range. I like to use this occasionally if I have a sore neck or back, it relieves the tension and feels incredibly cooling and relaxing when you apply it.

Another mist I’ve been trying recently is the Rituals Happy Mist with organic Mandarin and Yuzu. Going to bed stressed is never going to work so a light spritz of this zesty bed and body perfume helps lift the mood before shutting your eyes.

I’m prone to dry skin so I never forget to moisturise my hands and lips before bed. At the moment I’m using the Dr Hauschka hand cream which is really hydrating and has a beautiful calming scent. For lips I’m using the Nuxe Reve de Miel which I’ve fallen back in love with since it’s melted a bit in the Summer heat and is now much easier to apply.

Now all I need to do is blow out the candles, pop a hayfever pill, shut my eyes and clear my head. It’s easier said than done…
