Diorblush Cheek Creme Colour Flash

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll already know about my ‘accidental’ purchase. I was waiting for my eyebrow threading appointment in Fenwicks and stupidly decided to browse the counters. It happened to be the same day that the new limited edition Dior cream blushers landed, so I just had to have a look!

I ended up buying the shade ‘Paréo’ which is the brightest pink out of the four and has a slight shimmer in it. I tried ‘Bikini’ as well but felt that ‘Paréo’ looked more natural and pretty on me. I rushed home that day to try it on properly and have been using it since, but I’m still not sure how I feel about it. The packaging and colour is gorgeous and completely drew me in, but the formula isn’t as great as I’d hoped it would be.

It’s more of a cream to powder finish, with a kind of suede finish, if that makes sense. It’s quite hard to blend with your fingers, which would be ok with the lighter shades but with this one it can look patchy. I found myself having to work quite hard with my finger and contour brush to blend it.

So although my excitement levels were at their highest when I first saw this, I’m not blown away by it. It’s still something I’d use but there are other cream blushers I prefer. Let’s hope the new Chanel cream blushers are more up my street…. or not!
