THE LUSTABLES 0.2

The Lustables {head over to the ‘notes’ section on your iPhone… you see that Lust List of products that’s been slowly growing over the past month? Those are your ‘lustables’}

So here’s part two of The Lustables and if you missed part one, you can read it here

Let’s start with the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Tinted Balm. It has more coverage than the Chantecaille Just Skin and reminds me of a BB cream. There aren’t many shades, but I found B20 is a perfect fit for me and once blended into the skin (again with hands) it looks invisible on the skin. I’ve been wearing this base a lot recently and it’s definitely become a favourite. If you like the thicker textured tinted moisturisers but also want a natural finish, this is the one for you.

As Amelia stated in my 100th video, if you don’t like Tom Ford lipsticks you’re pretty heartless. They’re very expensive I know, but they’re for ‘the Tom Ford woman’ and for her it’s completely worth the price tag. Moving on from the price, the new lip colour shines are a more sheer, moisturising take on their original lipsticks. ‘Willful’ is a pretty raspberry red that is easy to apply even without a mirror and is easy to wear without feeling too over the top. It’s beautiful and have you seen that packaging? Uh, completely lustable.

My mum has always been a fan of the Stila convertible colours and I’m sure I owned one many years ago but lost it. I recently picked up ‘Gerbera’ which is a peachy coral, perfect for  an everyday makeup look. They work as a blush and as a lip tint and I love the really lightweight packaging because it means I can carry it around in my handbag for touch ups and it’s really easy to use with your fingers and blends in well.

The final product was always going to be a hard one to keep un-ticked on the Lust List, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light. I first saw Kate talk about these and then soon enough, one by one, the blogging brigade fell in love. I’m always late to the party with these things because I like to hear a range of different opinions before parting with my money. These powders are part of this new wave of powders that don’t cake or make you look powdery but instead help capture, diffuse and soften the way light is reflected on the skin. It comes in six shades, all suited for different needs such as highlighting, reducing redness etc. I chose Dim Light which apparently is one of the most popular as it’s not too shimmery, it’s just a neutral colour that you can put all over your face to give it a pretty, natural glow. It has a small amount of violet in it too which helps lift the face in parts.

My favourite out of the lot would be Stila Gerbera as I just know almost everyone will love this, but once again, a list of products worthy of a place on your Lust List.

Have you tried any of these Lustables?
