THE VANILLA FOUNTAIN HUNT
I have never been an obsessive hard-core LUSH fan like so many people are, especially beauty bloggers. I love the stores and the shopping experience but a lot of the products are too soapy and scented for me. I did however fall in love with one of their products, the Vanilla fountain bath bomb. It made my skin so soft and had the most perfect vanilla scent, but for some reason unknown LUSH discontinued the Vanilla Fountain. I was distraught.
So I made it my mission to find a replacement and these were the two bath bombs I was advised to try, so here’s my verdict…
Butterball had a really nice scent similar to Vanilla Fountain but as it’s quite a bit smaller than most bath bombs I didn’t feel like it made that much difference to the bath water. It didn’t feel as much like a treat as it is colourless and has a very subtle scent. The scent of Honey Bee wasn’t as nice and smelt a bit more artificial and it turned the entire bath yellow making it look like I’d had an accident. The fact that you could really smell the sweet scent and it actually filled the bath with both scent and colour meant that it was worth more than Butterball.
Overall I was a little disappointed as neither lived up to the yummy smelling, creamy feeling Vanilla Fountain. I guess the hunt continues….
