THE GLOW FACTOR

I’ve mentioned before that the most common question I get asked by friends and family is “how do I get that glowy skin look?”. So I thought I’d show you how I get my glow on… oily skin ladies look away!

The Laura Mercier Radiance primer is incredible for a glowy look and it instantly adds radiance to the skin. Be careful not to go overboard with this one though as it can look a bit too much if you do. I love to use NARS Sheer Glow foundation, sometimes I mix it in with the Clarins Complexion Perfector which is like a liquid highlighter. This always gives me a really flawless fresh base, but for lighter makeup days the Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint does the job perfectly. Highlighting is really important for this look and a couple of my favourites are the Dior Amber Diamond and the Topshop Kickstart Cream Highlighter. The Dior has a more powdery finish but catches the light really well and the Topshop one is more natural and can be used in the inner corners of the eye as well as down the nose and just above the lips.

For me, the ‘glowy’ look isn’t just about the base, it can be achieved with cheek, lip and eye products too. On my cheeks I love using MAC Stereo Rose because it has a gorgeous sheen to it that highlights as well as giving colour. On my eyes I use Rimmel’s nude eyeliner to open up the eyes and make them look brighter and then MAC Bare Study paint pot on the lids. Using a light shimmery cream base on the lids just makes the overall look really fresh and light.

Finally on my lips, a simple glossy pink to tie the whole look together.

It’s obviously not essential to use all these products, but pick the ones that look right for you and give the glowy look a go. Personally it’s not just a Summer look for me but a healthy all year rounder.
