NEW FOR NAILS // LUXURY EDIT

So here’s part two and if you missed part one, the budget edit, you can read it here. When it comes to nails I’m not hugely fussy about highstreet or luxury… the colour and quality is more important to me than the brand name. But saying that, I do find that my favourite nail polishes come from the higher end brands.

So here’s the low down on some of the new launches that are either out now or coming out soon.  As I said in the last post, everyone is going nude nail crazy, so Estée Lauder have pitched in with their ‘French Nudes’, a collection of gorgeous nude shades. The quality of EL polishes are always great and the ice cube-like packaging is so classy. The shade ‘Nudité’ is my favourite from this collection. They also recently brought out some new pastel shades which are my favourite colours to wear in Spring and I love the minty blue colour, Dilettante.

Next up, Illamasqua’s answer to mini egg nails. Their speckled polishes have won over many blogger hearts and I’m not surprised. You have to try these to see how incredible they are and how effortless it is to get the perfect speckled egg look. They come in some really pretty colours, the only downfall is trying to remove it. One day someone will invent a glitter nail polish that removes like normal polishes do… I hope!

Nails Inc are constantly bringing out exciting new polishes and they are far from boring. This time it’s nail feathers and I remember these really standing out to me when I went to the press launch a while ago. You need a few layers to get it looking solid, but you’re left with a really interesting finish that sort of resembles ‘hundreds and thousands’ ice cream topping.

So you’ve heard me ramble on about Seche Vite topcoat (the best!), well they’ve now released some nail polish colours too! I was really excited to try this and it didn’t disappoint. You only really need one layer of polish (if you’re tidy) which makes life a little easier and it’s really fast drying, just like the top coat! I love the colour ‘May be Modest’ and I surprisingly don’t have anything else like it in my collection! It’s a pastel green with a really pretty shimmer running through it.

Next up (I told you this was a long one!) a new collection from a favourite brand of mine, Leighton Denny. The Riviera collection includes the shade ‘Get your côte’ which is a beautiful bright blue and some other really wearable shades. I’m always impressed with the quality and staying power of Leighton Denny polishes and I think their price tag is really reasonable.

And finally, a brand new launch and a first timer from Clinique. These polishes have been six years in the making and are specially formulated for people with sensitive skin. Even if you don’t have sensitive skin I would really recommend these. My Clinique manicure lasted a whole week and the colour ‘Happy Heart’ is completely gorgeous. These will be available from Debenhams on 12th May and available nationwide online and on counters from 31st May.
