As you know, I like to keep things pretty positive on here… if a product is a bit ‘meh’ then it doesn’t really end up being featured. BUT occasionally I look forward to trying a product and get quite disappointed when it doesn’t live up to my expectations. So here’s a thumbs down products video talking you through some of the beauty bits that let me down.

Good to know I’m not the one who doesn’t like Benefit mascara and Armani foundation;)I’m tempted to try Origins foundation, do you recommend it for dehydrated skin? :)x

  4. This video is really great, it’s always nice to see honest opinions on products! xx

  5. you look really good in that video 🙂 I think the braid looks great on you!!!
I love your videos – I think they are just always so honest!!

    love xx

  6. I’m so glad I’m not the only person that does’t like they’re real – Actually, I hated it. It seemed to dry out my lashes (is that possible)? and made them feel brittle and thick, gross.

I completely get what you mean about smelly products, I have Bed Head Superstar volumising leave in conditioner, it smells great in the bottle but awful on my hair, I’m trying to persevere because it is great for volume but I don’t know that I’ll last much longer!

And the Nails Inc corrector pen! I’ve tried other corrector pens and they did exactly the same, I think I managed 2 uses and then they just dried up, very annoying, I have a feeling it’s a product that’s just not meant to be!

For brows, you should try Tweezerman Brow Mousse, I have no idea why it’s called Brow Mousse because it’s just a setting gel but it’s amazing, my brows stay put all day and it’s really light and doesn’t leave any white bits! I think I got mine from Beauty Bay 🙂

Fab video! Sometimes it’s good to get an update on what products aren’t great so you don’t waste your money! 🙂

  8. Love your videos! I’m the same about smells and I can’t believe that about the benefit they’re real, definitely will not purchase

Such a shame about the Benefit mascara! 🙁

  12. Lilit says:

I LOVE the necklace you’re wearing in this video. What/where is it from? And sorry if you’ve already mentioned in a previous post, I’m a new follower so can’t find it from the last few posts. Thanks!

With you on the Ojon and Benefit products – my sister loves the dry shampoo smells, but it’s SO strong and just not a nice hair smell! They’re Real dried out really fast and didn’t do anything spectacular to my lashes. I think with the way they’ve marketed it, you expect a lot more. I’ll be sticking to my MaxFactor False Lash Effect! X

I’ve heard really good things about the Illamasqua clear brow gel, maybe you could try that! X

Helpful video, Lily! Even though talking about disappointing products may not be as fun as raving about fantastic ones, these types of posts are so informative! I’ve tried the Maestro foundation and currently have a love/hate relationship with it. Still trying to get it to work for me! 🙂
