Top 3 Dry Shampoos

TRESemmé Instant Refresh £4.99 | VO5 Refresh Me Quick* £3.59 | Percy & Reed Dry Shampoo* £12 for full size

When you have hair like mine, that takes around an hour to wash and dry then dry shampoo is something you need to have around for those days where your hair suddenly becomes greasy and you haven’t got an hour spare. I try not to rely on it too much as I really don’t wanna be that girl that has dirty hair, but sometimes it’s a necessity.

I’ve tried quite a few and these are my favourites. The TRESemmé Instant Refresh was one of the first I tried when I abandoned Batiste on the hunt for a dry shampoo that doesn’t make your hair white (disclaimer, I don’t know it the one in the photo above is Instant Refresh, but that’s the one I mean). I love the scent which is very important to me, it reminds me of freshly washed bed linen. It never makes my brown hair white and always lives up to it’s cleaning duties. VO5 Refresh Me Quick is a new one for me and although not all VO5 products work for me, this one really impressed me. It smells like strawberries and feels light and refreshing on the hair. I actually think this one gets rid of the greasy look the best and you can spray it right into the roots without getting white bits. The final one is from Percy & Reed and unfortunately I’ve finished my travel size of this. This is the most ‘professional’ feeling out of all of them. It smells and feels like something from a hair salon, but this is the most expensive and is more high-end than the other two. I think because of the purpose of dry shampoo it’s ok to go for a drugstore version over high-end, to me it just makes more sense.

So there you have it greasy haired girls, your temporary solution until you find time to wash those locks.

So what’s your favourite dry shampoo?
