Removing glitter nail polish

I’m no nail expert, but this is the way I like to remove stubborn glitter nail polish so I thought I’d share it with you guys in case you didn’t already know this way.

I absolutely love wearing glittery nail polish but I definitely do not love scrubbing away at my nails and damaging them. I like to start by using my Bourjois magic nail polish remover by just leaving my finger in the pot for a minute or so, letting it soak off as much of the nail polish as possible. I do this to all the nails until it’s literally just the glitter bits left.

I then take 5 round cotton wool pads and tear them in half so I’m left with 10 pieces. I soak each piece with nail polish remover and I find using one with acetone in it works best. After soaking the cotton wool, I wrap them around my finger and then wrap tin foil over the top. It’s best if you cut the foil up into 10 strips first so they’re all prepared.

You leave these on for… err… 5 minutes maybe? I can’t remember the exact time I do, but you can have a peek in and see if it’s ready. When I take them off I pull the foil and cotton wool down so it pulls the glitter off the nail and it should be easy to remove.

So that’s it really, easy and effective! It may feel like it takes longer but it’s worth it, I can’t stand seeing people scrub and pick at their nails.

Is this how you remove glitter polishes? Do you guys have any other snazzy ways to do it?
