September Favourites 2012

September has passed and we are now well and truly in Autumn. Here’s my roundup of the products I’ve been loving this month. Watch the video for all the details, but here’s a little breakdown for those of you that can’t watch it.

Essie ‘Meet me at Sunset’
The first non Superdrug/Boots Essie I’ve bought in quite a while, but I was drawn to this because it reminds me of Chanel’s ‘Holiday’. It’s a bright red with strong orange undertones and I’ve been wearing it a lot this month. It’s fresh, grown up and easy to match with outfits.

Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
My friend gave this to me and I’ve been addicted to it ever since. It’s non-scented and moisturises like no other hand cream I’ve tried. I’ve heard it’s great for eczema too!

MAC ‘Syrup’ lipstick
I’ve had this for quite a while but this month I’ve reached for this lipstick over any other on most days. It’s a lustre finish which feels really moisturising and it has a purple tone whilst still being very neutral. I find it easy to wear and doesn’t look over the top for everyday.
Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Mask
This is a really nice clarifying mask which is clay based so it helps lift any impurities from the skin (hello London skin!). I’ve really enjoyed using this and so have been looking into other Aesop products too. Watch out for some more reviews to come!

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear products*
I go into detail about each product in the video, but to cut a long story short, I bloody love these products. I have never experienced long wearing products that live up to their name so well. I’ve tested these on 12 hour days and they have exceeded my expectations by far!

Hydraluron Moisture Booster
I forgot to mention this in the video as I left it on the bed behind me, doh! I bought this after giving in to the hype. Anything that says it helps with dehydration is something I NEED to try. This is a clear gel feeling product that you apply before your moisturiser morning and night. It’s free of any nasty parabens and contains hyaluronic acid which helps makes your moisturiser actually work. Basically, read this post by Caroline and you’ll want to buy it! I’m loving it so far!

What’s Left of Me by Kat Zhang*
I’ve got back into reading again this month. I think buying a kindle was a mistake as it kind of put me off reading for a while. I’ve been reading ‘What’s Left of Me’ and I’m nearly at the end and really enjoying it. I go into details about the story in the video and I’m also giving away 2 copies. So make sure you comment on the video and tell me you want to enter!

So that’s September… Next time I do this, it’ll be Halloween! Crazy!
