The story behind the hair look for the Todd Lynn show was my favourite of them all. The Toni&Guy session team was lead by Cos Sakkas and was based on a ‘wealthy woman on safari’.
The idea is that this wealthy women had arrived looking preened and after the heat, the sunburn and the sweat, her hair had become bedraggled. Hair extensions 22 inches long were used in two shades lighter than the natural hair to give the illusion of sun bleached hair and went all the way down the models’ back to their waist.
The front of the hair was smart and sophisticated with a side parting flat onto the top of the head. The back was a neat plait that gradually becomes dishevelled towards the bottom and more bleached from the sun. The end of the plait almost reminds me of a lion’s tail, which ties in with the safari feel.
I didn’t get a chance to really delve into the makeup but it was natural, simple and glowing.
I love this look. What do you think? Will you long haired girls be trying the plait?
